DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern men's rodeo turned in a second-place finish and the women were fourth as the teams travels to Alva, Okla., for the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rodeo to close out the fall portion of the 2025-26 season.

Cole Kerner turned in the top performance for the men's team, making noise in a pair of rough stock events in his first appearance of the year after sitting out the first three rodeos following his transfer.

He split 4
th/5
th in the long-go of the bareback riding with a 52 and came back with a third-place finish it he finals with a ride of 69 points, lifting him to third in the average.

In the bull riding he turned in a first-place ride in the opening round with a 79, but took a no score in the finals, finishing second in the average.
Â
Waylon Buquoi joined him in the finals of the bull riding after earning a 53 on his first bull and became the only rider to complete two rides with a 74 in the finals, winning the round and the average.

Colton Matlock joined Kerner in the finals of the bareback riding after posting a 58 in the first round to, but a no score in the finals dropped him to fourth in the average.

In the team roping,
Justin Ochs and his partner from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M nearly swept their way through the event, taking the top spot in the long-go with a time of 5.2 before finishing second in the finals with a mark of 5.9, but it was still enough to take home the top spot in the average.

SE sent a pair to the final of the tie down roping, led by
Rowdy Nimrod who clocked an 11.0 in the long-go to finish second, but turned in a 16.9 in the finals to finish seventh in the round and slip to fifth in the average.

Brack Arnston followed with a 12.4 in the first round to split seventh before finishing eighth in the finals and eighth in the average.

Nimrod made the finals in the steer wrestling as well, posting a 6.4 in the first round to advance in 12
th place before bringing his steer down in a time of 5.3 in the finals which was good for fifth in the round and moved him to sixth in the average.

On the women's side,
Kayleah Hurst led the way with her effort in the goat tying as she turned in a 6.1 in the long-go- to win the round and followed it with a 6.8 in the finals which was good for third, moving her to second in the average.

In the barrel racing,
Jaiden Wilmoth turned in a fifth-place finish in the first round with a time of 13.29 and followed with a 13.47 in the finals to finish sixth in the round and sixth in the average.
