DURANT, Okla. – After weather forecasts pushed the start of the series back by a day, Southeastern is now set to return home for its first Great American Conference action at the friendly confines of Mike Metheny Field as it hosts Henderson State for a three-game series starting at 2 p.m. on Feb. 22, with a noon doubleheader set for Feb. 23.

The Savage Storm return home with a 2-8 record overall on the year and a 1-2 mark in league play after picking up a win in the conference opener at Ouachita Baptist last weekend before dropping a day-two twinbill.

The Southeastern offense features a trio of .300 hitters, led by
Payton Poole who is hitting .344 on the season with two doubles and two home runs.

Ryan Kirk who is batting .333 on the year with a triple and two home runs along with eight RBI, while
Brady Evans is tied for the team-lead in homers with three while hitting .310.

Wesley Mitchell matches hi with three home runs on the year and leads the team in RBI with 12.

Southeastern hold a 16-to-8 edge in homers over its opponents but has had problems converting those into big innings as the Storm is averaging 4.8 runs per game compared to the 8.2 per game by its opponents.

Daniel Collins leads the SE pitching staff with a 2.03 ERA across three starts while carrying a team-best 20 strikeouts and holding foes to a .204 batting average.

Michael white is next in line with a 4.61 ERA while striking out 15 and allowing a .208 opponent's batting average.

HSU enters the weekend with a 5-6 record overall on the season and a 2-1 mark in league play after splitting a series at homer versus East Central.
