Baseball Welcomes OBU in Midweek Matchup Tuesday

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern baseball looks to maintain its momentum from a weekend sweep when it welcomes Oklahoma Baptist to Mike Metheny field for a single non-conference contest slated for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
 
The Savage Storm are riding a three-game wining streak that lifted the team's record to 5-8 overall on the season.
 
SE enters the midweek matchup led by a trio of .300 hitters, with Payton Poole pacing that group with a .349 average that includes four doubles, two homers, and seven RBI.
 
Wesley Mitchell is next in line with a .333 average while leading the Storm with five home runs and 16 RBI.
 
Ryan Kirk rounds out the trio with a .326 average that includes three homers and 11 RBI.
 
The Southeastern pitching staff carries a 6.11 ERA on the year with a .287 opponents batting average, while Storm pitchers have recorded 105 strikeouts and have logged saves from four different relievers.
 
OBU enters Tuesday's game with an 8-5 record overall on the year and are coming off a series win over Arkansas-Monticello which ended on Monday afternoon.
 
The Bison are paced on offense by DJ Van Atten who is hitting .451 with eight doubles, a homer, and 16 RBI.
 
Lucas Schaefer leads the team in homers with five and matches Van Atten in RBI with 16.
 
The OBU pitching staff carries a 5.17 ERA on the year with a .248 opponents batting average while Logan Kimbro has logged two of the team's three saves.
