SE Baseball Hosts SNU in Three-Game GAC Series

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern jumps back into Great American conference play when it welcomes Southern Nazarene for its second-straight home conference series beginning on Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. followed by a March 1 doubleheader at noon, with all three games at Mike Metheny Field.
 
The Savage Storm are riding a three-game conference winning streak after sweeping Henderson State last weekend and heads into the series with a 5-9 record overall and a 402 mark in league play.
 
The SE offense is paced by Wesley Mitchell who leads the way in average at .354 as well as home runs with six and RBI at 17.
 
Ryan Kirk is next in line hitting .326 with three homers and 11 RBI, while Payton Poole is a .319 hitter with four doubles and two home runs.
 
Southeastern ranks third in the nation in home runs with 25 through 14 games, with six difference players logging multiple homers on the year.
 
Daniel Collins leads the Storm pitching staff with a 2.08 ERA across four starts as he's logged 17.1 innings pitched with 23 strikeouts and a .203 opposing batting average.
 
Michael White has recorded 15 strikeouts across three starts on the year, while Cody Pfeffer has posted a 2-1 record in five relief appearances.
 
Brock Zimmer, Carson Abbott, Brayden Phelps, and Ryan Rauss have each logged a save.
 
SNU enters the weekend with a 5-10 record overall on the season and a 1-5 mark in league play, having lost seven of their last eight contests.
 
The Crimson Storm are led by Antonio Sabala who is hitting .317 with a homer and 10 RBI, while Weston Hicks leads the way with 15 RBI and a pair of homers.
