DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set for a quick turnaround and rematch when it hosts Northeastern State at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5 in the home opener at Mike Metheny Field.

The Savage Storm come into the midweek matchup after a 1-2 start to the season at the Edmond First Pitch Classic, however that victory was over the visiting RiverHawks on Monday.

Wesley Mitchell drove in five runs to power SE to a 10-9 win over NSU in that outing, earning head coach
Alan Trayler his first career victory.

Mitchell finished the contest with a pair of hits, including a grand slam, while driving in five runs on the day.

Antonio Crews added two hits as well, driving in one.

Brady Evans,
Chase Keeton,
Nick Mueller,
Payton Poole, and
Ryan Kirk each logged a hit, with Kirk adding a homer while Mueller and Crews each doubled.

Poole, Crews, and Kirk each finished with one RBI.

Evans leads the team on the year with a .500 average that includes a home run, while
Coby Grimsley is hitting .429 with a pair of doubles,
