RICHARDSON, Texas – Southeastern Oklahoma State earns its second win of 2025, defeating UT Dallas on the road 6-1.
The Savage Storm swept the doubles points, with
Jou Chen Chen and
Carol Mora earning a win at No. 1 with a 6-2 win. The partnership of
Larissa Giraldi Correa and
Sara Gonzalez was next to turn in their scores with a 6-2 win in the No. 2 position. At No.3, the duo of
Emilse Ruiz and
Amishi Shukla picked up a 7-5 victory.
In the singles matches, Southeastern earned five wins, including three sweeps by Chen Chen, Ruiz, Shukla and
Milana Voloshyn. Mora would earn a win at her No. 1 position after falling behind 4-6 in the first set but would win the next to secure the victory.
SE (2-0) heads to Edmond, Okla. for its next round of matches, as the side gets set to take part in the UCO Invite, where they will face Augustana and St. Mary's on Feb. 15-16.
