DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State takes a break from GAC action to face Cameron on Tuesday, Mar. 18, in a midweek doubleheader, starting at 1 p.m. from the Southeastern Softball Field.

STORM WATCH
Southeastern took one of three from Arkansas Tech this past weekend, as the Savage Storm won the series finale 3-2 on a walk-off hit by
Kasey Simmons. The blue and gold come into the week 14-13 overall and hold a 7-7 mark in conference play. In non-conference games this season, the Storm are 7-6 and have won three of their last four non-league games.
Â
Sage Harlow and
Susan Edwards paced the SE lineup in the three games against ATU with three hits each, and Harlow recorded a double, triple and two runs scored. Harlow ranks second on the team in hits with 29 on a .354 batting average and has 17 runs batted in, and the team's only triple this season. Edwards tallied a hit in each against game Arkansas Tech and now has a six-game hit streak, which is the second longest on the team to Harlow's nine-game streak.
Â
In the circle,
Emily Simmons and
Alyson Malone made two appearances, each getting a start and coming in for relief. Simmons started game one versus Tech and went 6.1 innings with four strikeouts and four runs allowed. This season, the sophomore holds a 9-5 record with a 3.78 ERA and 62 punchouts. Malone got her second start this season in game three and totaled a season-high six strikeouts in 5.0 frames of work.
Â
The last time Southeastern and Cameron met, the Aggies swept the Storm in a midweek doubleheader in 2024. Cameron has won the previous three meetings with SE, but it's the Storm who lead the all-time series 69-20. Southeastern has been at its best against the Aggies when playing at home, with 12 wins in the last 15 games in Durant.

PREVIEWING CAMERON
Cameron heads into Tuesday's twin bill off the back of four-straight defeats, falling to St. Mary's twice on Friday and St. Edwards on Sunday. The Aggies fell to 13-13 overall and 8-12 in the Lone Star after the defeats. CU has struggled this season on the road, as they get set for a third consecutive road doubleheader and are 2-10 away from home on the year.
Leading the lineup for the Aggies is freshman Haley Gardella with 33 hits, including seven doubles and eight home runs, on a .465 batting average. Additionally, Gardella has totaled the second most RBIs on the team with 25. Kelsey Creech has been an extra-base machine for Cameron, recording four doubles, five triples and four home runs. The Cameron pitching staff is led by Stormee Reed, who has pitched 82.0 innings with 70 strikeouts and 47 runs allowed on 88 hits and carries a 3.59 ERA.
