Baseball Set for Midweek Road Trip to SWOSU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern baseball is set to take on another conference foe in non-conference action when it travels to Weatherford, Okla,, to take on Southwestern Oklahoma State in a single game on Tuesday, March 25 at 1 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm head into the contest with 10-19 record overall and looking to snap a six-game losing skid.
 
SE is coming off a series loss to nationally-ranked Harding that saw them with a chance to win in the final half inning of all three contests.
 
The Storm are paced on Offense by Wesley Mitchell who is hitting .340 with six doubles, nine home runs and 30 RBI.
 
Chase Keeton has lifted his average to .317 and has added two doubles, two triples, and is second on the team with seven homers while driving in 20 runs.
 
Ryan Kirk is second on the team in RBI with 23 while adding four home runs, with Brady Evans connecting on five homers.
 
Gabe Massey collected SE's last midweek start but was saddled with the loss, while Tristan Mills picked up a midweek win in his start versus Austin College.
 
The Storm carry a 7.31 ERA as a team on the season with 189 strikeouts as a staff.
 
SWOSU comes into Tuesday with a 16-11 record overall on the year but have lost three-straight.
 
Bodi Wallar leads the Bulldog offense with a .372 average while Wallar and Gage Gaunt each have a team-high five home runs, with Gaunt leading the team in RBI with 28.
 
Garrett Coiner and Sawyer Rolland collected the last two midweek starts for SWOSU but neither were able to pick up a decision.
 
As a staff, the Bulldogs carry a 6.79 ERA on the year with 184 strikeouts.
