EL DORADO, Ark. – Southeastern Oklahoma State is ninth at the end of two rounds at the Arkansas Collegiate with a 36-hole score of 63-over 639. The Savage Storm got the day going, shooting 34-over 322 in the first round and later carded a 29-over 317 in the second round.
Two Top 20 teams make up the top five at the end of two rounds, with No. 10 Georgia Southwestern leading the way at 13-over 589. Southern Arkansas sits second with a score of 27-over 603, and No. 22 Harding is third at 33-over 609. Another GAC foe makes up the top five, with Arkansas Tech in fourth at 34-over Par, and Tyler Junior College is fifth at 42-over Par.
Leading SE through two rounds is
Trent Pollard, who is 13-over 157 following a 5-over 77 in round one and an 8-over 80 in the second round. Pollard had a near flawless front-nine in the opening round, shooting 1-over, and would finish the day with a pair of birdies. Just one stroke behind Pollard,
Jesse Rouse carded a 9-over 81 and a 5-over 77 to finish the first day 14-over 158 with four birdies.
Jesse Tandoy and
Nicholas Martin, who is playing as an individual, both matched each other across the 36 holes, carding a 16-over 160. Tandoy shot 9-over 80 in both rounds, while Martin saw an 11-over 83 in the first round and later saw a 5-over 77 in round two.
Christian Vining sits two strokes back at 21-over 165, following rounds of 12-over 84 and 9-over 81.
Tristun Burnham is one stroke behind Vinning, carding a 22-over 166. Burnham saw his best round of the day in round two, carding a 9-over 80 with a pair of birdies after shooting 14-over 86 to start the day. Southeastern wraps up action at the Par 72 Mystic Creek Golf Course tomorrow and will look to move up the leaderboard on the final day.
