DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State hosts in-state GAC foe Oklahoma Baptist at the Southeastern Softball Field on Saturday and Sunday.
The Savage Storm and Bison open the three-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 29, at 2 p.m. before playing a single game on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m.

SERIES NOTES
- Saturday's series opener between SE and OBU will be the 38th meeting between the two sides. Southeastern holds a three-game edge in the all-time series, 20-17, but will be looking to avenge a trio of defeats to the Bison last season.
- The blue and gold played a three-game series versus Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee in 2024, and the Bison came out on top in all three games to complete the sweep. However, in the last three series played in Durant, the Storm have won all three and are 9-5 in the previous 14 games played at home.

STORM WATCH
Southeastern (16-18, 8-9 GAC) split a midweek doubleheader with No. 6 Central Oklahoma at home, winning the second game of the day 5-2. The Bronchos took the first contest on Tuesday 5-0, but another strong outing by
Trinity Oden helped propel the Storm to a win in the second contest. SE has now picked up wins over two Top 15 teams in its last three games.

Oden and
Iliana Olivares were some of the stars of game two versus UCO, as the duo had a hand in the win. Oden threw her sixth complete game this season, pitching 7.0 frames with five strikeouts and allowing two runs on six hits. Olivares went 3-for-4 at the plate with three runs batted in and a run scored. The Dallas native eclipsed 40 hits on the season, as she leads the side with 41 knocks on a .383 batting average and is tied for a team-high nine doubles.

Abrianna Kennedy made her first two starts of the season against the Bronchos and delivered a perfect day at the plate in game two, going 3-of-3 with a run scored. The freshman from Rockwall, Texas, had made just three plate appearances before Tuesday and now has three hits and three runs scored on the season.
Susan Edwards recorded a hit in each game, including two in the first contest, which brought her to 22 knocks on the year and is batting .275 with four doubles and six runs driving in.
In the circle, SE has a one-two punch in
Emily Simmons and Oden. The pair have combined for 154.2 innings of work of the 226.1 played so far. Oden leads the team in strikeouts with 77 and holds the best ERA at 3.38. Simmons has made the most appearances this season, having played in 19 games, and carries a 4.07 ERA with 68 punchouts.

Oklahoma Baptist roles into this weekend's three-game GAC series on a six-game win streak after sweeping Ouachita Baptist at home. The Bison is third in the conference standings with a league record of 14-3 and are 21-12 overall. OBU is one of three teams this season to not lose a GAC series.

Jaycee Shaffer has been lights out for the Bison in the circle, as she carries an 11-1 record in 91.1 innings of work with a 2.45 ERA. The junior leads the team with 97 strikeouts and has allowed 41 runs on 93 hits. Offensively, OBU is led by Sammie Greene, who is batting .480 with 48 hits and 33 RBIs. Greene paces the side with ten home runs and has notched six doubles while stealing 24 bases.
