DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern heads to Ada to wrap up the series with rivals East Central on Tuesday, Apr. 15, as the Savage Storm take on the Tigers at 2 p.m. with a chance to complete the season sweep.

SERIES NOTES
- Earlier this season, Southeastern won the series over East Central, sweeping a doubleheader on March 11th. SE blanked the Tigers in game one, winning 6-0, and battled back and forth in the second contest to win 7-6 on a walk-off hit from Lorryn Johnson.
- Following the pair of wins, the Storm leads the all-time series 85-31 and has won six straight over ECU. The blue and gold's last six trips to Ada have all resulted in wins, including a 7-5 victory in the most recent meeting in 2024.

STORM WATCH
Southeastern improved to 24-21 on the year and earned its 15
th conference win to move to 15-11 in the GAC with a sweep of Arkansas-Monticello. The three wins over the Blossoms marked the Storm's second conference series sweep this season, with the other coming against Northwestern Oklahoma State.

Emily Simmons put in a near flawless two appearances over the weekend, with one run allowed over 10.0 innings of work to get two wins in the circle. The sophomore pitched all 7.0 innings in game one and totaled a season-high 11 strikeouts while allowing just one run on five hits. Simmons followed with zero hits and runs surrendered in the final 3.0 frames of game three and added four more punchouts to finish with 15. The Houston native leads the team with a 3.53 ERA and 12-6 record in 109.0 innings of work.

SE combined for 19 hits across the three games, with
Iliana Olivares,
India McMurray and
Susan Edwards each chipping in three hits. Olivares provided the biggest bat over the series with two doubles and a home run for three RBIs and extended her hit streak to ten games. The Dallas native remains in a tie for the league lead in two-base hits with 16 this season and ranks fifth in total hits with 54.

Statistically, Southeastern is hitting .290 as a team and has tallied the third most hits in the conference with 361. In addition, the Storm rank in the top half in both doubles and home runs with 64 doubles on the year (4
th) and 35 homers (3
rd). In the circle, the blue and gold slot in at seventh in team ERA (3.90) and have the second-most strikeouts (269) across the third-most innings pitched (299.2).

PREVIEWING EAST CENTRAL
East Central will be looking to bounce back on Tuesday. The Tigers have lost four in a row after getting swept at home by No. 12 Southern Arkansas and are 15-22 overall and 8-18 in the GAC. Heading into the final stretch of the season, ECU sits one game outside the top eight in the league standings and is tied with Southwestern Oklahoma State in ninth.

The Tigers are led by Elyse LeClair and Amiah Galcatcher at the plate this season. LeClair paces the side with 46 hits on a .371 batting average, while Galcatcher has a team-high 32 RBIs and nine home runs. In the circle, Taylor Spence is ECU's top strikeout arm, with 49 in 60.1 innings of work. Spence has made the most starts this season (12), and Lindsey Mauppin leads the team in appearances with 21 and has a 6-2 record.
