DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to welcome Southern Arkansas to Mike Metheny Field as the weather forecast forced a change to the three-game weekend series, moving the start up to Thursday, April 17 with a 1 p.m. first pitch before squaring off in a doubleheader at noon on Friday April 18.

The series also serves as the home finale to the 2025 season for the Savage Storm and Friday will be Senior Day for 13 SE baseball players who will be playing in their final home contests.

The Storm are fighting foe their postseason lives with a 16026 record overall and a 12-15 mark in Great American Conference play which has them in a tie for the final postseason tournament spot.

Southeastern continues to lean on its offense which is paced by
Wesley Mitchell as he is hitting .384 on the season and ranks near the top of the conference in multiple offensive categories. He is the league's top home run hitter with 16 on the year and has driven in 46 runs.

Chase Keeton,
Alex Showalter, and
Colton Sagely are all hitting better that ,300 on the year, with Keeton adding 11 home runs and 30 RBI.

Peyton Poole and
Brady Evans are each hitting .277, with eight and nine homers, respectively.

Overall, the Storm ranks in the top five in the nation in the longball with 77 home runs as a team on the year.

Daniel Collins paces the Storm starters on the hill and carries a 5.17 ERA with 43 strikeouts across 11 starts.

Cody Pfeffer has been the team's top reliever with 14 appearances and 31.1 innings pitched while carrying a 4.88 ERA and striking out 33, all while collecting three wins.

SAU comes into he weekend leading the weekend with a 26-15 record and a 19-8 mark in league play which leads the GAC.

The Mulerider offense is led by Trace Should who is hitting .362 with eight home runs, while Lee Matsuzaki has a team-best 39 RBI.

SAU is paced by Jeremy Adorno among the team's starters with a 3.82 ERA and 82 strikeouts while Austin Adair has put together a 7-1 record with five saves and a 2.38 ERA in 20 relief appearances.
