DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern's
Wesley Mitchell and
Chase Keeton each picked up their second All-Central Region honors, this time the D2CCA has selected Mitchell as a first team honoree while Keeton was a second team pick.

Mitchell, a senior from Katy, Texas, adds his second regional honor to being named the Great American Conference Player of the Year as well as a first team All-GAC selection.

He leads or is ranked in the top-10 in the GAC of nearly every major offensive stat category. He leads the conference in home runs with 21, and total bases with 151, and is ranked second in slugging percentage and third in RBI.

His 73 hits on the season rank fifth in the league, while his .386 batting average is sixth in the league as are his 15 doubles.

Keeton, a senior from Waco, Texas, was a unanimous First Team All-GAC selection at the utility position. He piled on the hits to close out the season, pushing his batting average to .410 on the year which leads the league.

He also leads the league in slugging percentage at .819 and his 17 home runs ranks second in the GAC. Keeton has racked up 11 doubles and three triples while driving in 45 runs.

Southeastern was the only GAC school to have two players selected to the first team, as the league placed five total players on the first team.
