TULSA, Okla. – Southeastern finishes the final round of play at the NSU Men's Golf Classic with a score of 11-over Par, and ends the event 17
th as a team with a combined score of 29-over 881. Highlighting the final round,
Dilyn Hart sank a hole in one on the par three hole two.
The top three teams remained the same after three rounds of play, as Central Oklahoma won the event with a score of 24-under 828. Central Missouri placed second at 17-under 835, followed by Pittsburg State in third with a score of 7-under 845. Harding and Arkansas Tech jumped into the top five, tying with Pittsburg State, as the pair of GAC teams shot 7-under 845.
Leading the Storm on day two and climbing the leaderboard,
Tristun Burnham (T49th) capped off the 54-hole event with a score of 4-over 217 to pace the SE lineup. Burnham matched his low round of 1-over 72 from the second round in the third, recording three more birdies to end the event with ten.
Austin Skierski recorded his best round of play on day two, as he turned in a score of 2-over 73 to complete the event tied for 96th at 16-over 229. The Austin, Texas native was off to a flying start, shooting 2-under Par on the front nine, where he had three birdies and four pars through his first seven holes before seeing a 4-over-par back half.
Nicholas Martin carded the next best score of the day for the Storm, carding a 3-over 74 following a near flawless front nine, where he shot 1-under Par. Martin went on to complete the tournament with a 54-hole score of 12-over 225 and tied for 88th individually. Hart followed with a round three score of 5-over 76 to finish the tournament tied for 92nd with a score of 14-over 227.
Talan Haley capped off his first collegiate event with an 8-over 79, shooting 3-over Par on the front nine and 5-over on the back half. After 54 holes of play, Haley turned in a final score of 7-over 220 to land tied for 70th on the player leaderboard.
Southeastern heads to the Mossy Oak Golf Club for its next event on September 22-23 in West Point, Miss., at the Dunning Invitational, hosted by Delta State.
