India McMurray adds to her weekly honors, picking up the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week award after earning GAC Player of the Week honors earlier this week.

The Dallas native continued her strong start to the season at the Alvy Early Memorial Classic, hitting .600 (9-15) with four home runs, eight RBIs and five runs scored. McMurray worked three walks over the weekend for a .667 on-base percentage and slugged 1.400 with 21 total bases. The Duncanville High School product recorded a home run and multiple hits in four of the five games, including a perfect game at the plate in a 7-0 win over Washburn, going 3-for-3 with three runs batted in, a home run and one run scored.

Following a big weekend at the plate, McMurray ranks second in Division II and leads the GAC with six home runs after the first ten games. Additionally, McMurray is tied for seventh in DII with 31 total bases and ranks in the top 35 in slugging percentage (1.000). The Dallas native ranks third on the team in hits with 13 on a .419 batting average and is second in RBIs with 11.

McMurray and the Savage Storm (4-6) make the trip to Tahlequah, Okla., on Feb. 14-15 to take part in the Cherokee Nation D2 Festival. Southeastern opens play on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1:30 p.m. against No. 7 Central Oklahoma.
