Storm Baseball Opens GAC Play with Home Series vs. OBU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will finally open the home portion of its 2026 season when it welcomes Ouachita Baptist to town for the Great American Conference opener beginning at 1 p.m. on Feb. 12 at Mike Metheny Field, with a Feb. 13 doubleheader set for noon.
 
The Savage Storm enter the contest with a 2-3 record on the season with wins over Northeastern State and Emporia State.
 
SE is paced on offense by Carter Olson who is hitting .526 with a pair of home runs and 11 RBI.
 
Isaac Villa is hitting .389 with a team-best four doubles and seven runs scored.
 
Ryan Kirk follows with a .294 average and five RBI on a homer.
 
Estevan Fonseca leads the pitching staff with a pair of wins and a 4.05 ERA in a pair of relief appearances with a team-best 10 strikeouts.
 
OBU comes to town with a 4-0 record and is paced by Octavio Mendivil and Jaren Caesar who are each hitting .455, with Cade Bowman following with a .417 average.
 
Garret Graham and David Bull each have a pair of home runs, with Graham driving in a team-high four RBI.
 
Chase Oberle leads the pitching staff with a 1.50 ERA and five strikeouts, while Braden Tucker is the only starting pitcher to have recorded a win in a start.
