Storm Rolls Past Collin College

DUARNT, Okla. – Southeastern picks up its third straight win on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Collin College 4-0 in its first home match this season.
 
The Savage Storm took a 1-0 lead in the match behind a strong performance from Emilia O'Neill at Court 2, who made quick work of Collin College's Camila Luzardo, winning 6-2, 6-0. Milana Voloshyn added to the blue and gold's lead with a win from line one, defeating Marqaylar Tere 7-6, 6-4 to give SE a 2-0 edge.
 
SE's next two points came after three-set battles at spots three and four, as Amishi Shukla and Lilly Shepard earned wins. Shukla raced out to a 6-1 win in set one against Nobuhle Zungu, but fell behind in the second 1-6 before battling back in the third to win 7-5. Shepard clinched the match victory for the Storm on Court 4, winning sets one and three by scores of 6-2 and 6-1.

Southeastern (3-0) heads to Edmond, Okla., on February 27 and 28 to compete in the UCO Invitational. SE will face Central Oklahoma in the first match on Friday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. before taking on Angelo State on Saturday at 11 a.m.
