DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern travels to Bentonville, Ark., to take part in the Alvy Early Memorial Classic on Feb. 6-8.

SE opens play on Friday, Feb. 6, with No. 24 Missouri Southern at 11 a.m. before taking on Central Missouri later in the day at 1:30 p.m. Day two begins on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with St. Mary's, followed by Washburn at 2 p.m. The Savage Storm concludes the event on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. against Maryville.

STORM REPORT
Southeastern went 2-3 at the D2 First Pitch Invitational, highlighted by a 7-5 win over No. 1 UT Tyler. The Storm also picked up an 11-10 win on day two against Texas A&M-International on a walk-off play. The win over UT Tyler is the second win in two seasons that head coach
Mackenzie Sher has picked up over a top 10 team – SE split a midweek doubleheader last year against No. 10 Central Oklahoma.

Iliana Olivares led all hitters for the Storm over the weekend, recording 10 hits on a .500 batting average with three doubles and six runs driven in. Olivares had a multi-hit game in all but one contest (Mississippi College) and saw a high of three hits against TAMI. The Storm batted .302 as a team with 45 hits that turned into 25 runs for the blue and gold.
Susan Edwards also had a good weekend at the plate for the blue and gold with eight hits in 18 at-bats (.444) and scored five runs with an on-base percentage of .500.

The SE lineup showed its power at the plate at the D2 First Pitch Invitational, registering five home runs from four different players.
India McMurray led the team in big flies with two home runs, including one in a 2-for-3 day at the plate against Texas A&M-International.
Emily Simmons had one home run across the five games and finished with five RBIs on four hits and batted .250 in 16 plate appearances.

Trinity Oden made two starts in the circle over the weekend and went 1-1 in 11.2 innings of work with a complete game against St. Mary's. The sophomore from Vivian, La., totaled eight strikeouts while batters hit .245 versus the left-hander with 12 hits and six earned runs. E. Simmons featured the most over the five games, with four appearances, while
Alyson Malone pitched in three contests, picking up a save in the 7-5 win over UT Tyler.
SCOUTING MISSOURI SOUTHERN
No. 24 Missouri Southern went 5-0 at the Lone Star Classic to open its season. Among their five wins, the Lions defeated Southern Nazarene 3-0 and outscored their opponents at the event 27-to-8. Bailey Dillon led the team at the Lone Star Classic with 11 hits on a .611 batting average with two doubles, a triple and a home run. In the circle, the Lions were led by Emily Davis with a 0.81 ERA, recording 19 strikeouts in 17.1 innings.

SCOUTING CENTRAL MISSOURI
The Jennies opened their season at the Lone Star Classic and went undefeated with four wins. Central Missouri leaned on Andi Siebeneck in the circle, who went 2-0 with a 1.24 ERA across 11.1 innings. Siebeneck allowed just two runs on seven hits with batters hitting .171 against the senior. At the plate, Bailey Brumley paced the team with five hits, including 2 home runs, on a .385 batting average.

SCOUTING ST. MARY'S
St. Mary's is 4-1 after competing in the DII First Pitch Invitational to begin its 2026 season. Among the four wins for the Rattlers, StMU defeated the Savage Storm 3-2 on a walk-off hit. The Rattlers' top bat over the weekend was Iliana Melendez, who hit .500 with six hits, including two doubles. Aly Garcia locked down the circle with a 0.84 ERA in 8.1 frames, recording four strikeouts, while allowing one run on six hits.

SCOUTING WASHBURN
Washburn went 4-1 at the Lone Star Classic and had two run-rule games with an 11-3 win over Lubbock Christian and a 10-2 victory against Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Ichabods' lone loss came at the hands of Southern Nazarene 6-5 on a walk-off RBI-single. Kate Ediger and Makenzie Sais led the bats with ten hits each, and the pair combined for nine RBIs and 23 total bases.

SCOUTING MARYVILLE
The Saints are 2-2 to begin the season after playing the Lone Star Classic. Both losses for Maryville came at the hands of GAC teams, falling 6-4 to Harding and 5-4 to Oklahoma Baptist. Laila Ruiz made a statement in her first action as a freshman, recording six home runs in four games, including three against St. Edwards. Ruiz is tied for a team-high eight hits and paces the side with 10 RBIs and a .571 batting average.
