Storm Baseball Set For Road Trip to HU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern baseball returns to the road when it travels to Searcy, Ark., for a three-game series versus Harding beginning with a 6 p.m. opener on Friday, March 20, with the final two games slated for a March 21 doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm head into the series with a 17-9 record overall on the season following a pair of midweek victories and hold a 10-5 record in Great American Conference play.
 
Carter Olson paces a group of six hitters that are batting better than .300 on the year, putting up a .348 average that includes five doubles, 10 homers, and 32 RBI.
 
Ryan Kirk is right on his heels with a .347 average and leads the team with 11 homers and matches Olson with 32 RBI.
 
Isaac Villa checks in with a .340 average in the leadoff spot, scoring a team-high 34 runs and swiping 13 bases.
 
JJ Bush, Jacob Ambriz, and Austin Parker are each hitting better than .300 on the year as well.
 
Estevan Fonseca paces the team's starters with a 6.12 ERA and a 3-1 record, while Dylan Hill has a pair of wins and a 6.57 ERA.
 
Jacob Fuller carries a team-high 22 strikeouts.
 
Brock Zimmer and Cody Pfeffer each have a pair of saves, while Pfeffer has a pair of wins and Zimmer has one.
 
Zimmer carries a 0.00 ERA while Pfeffer boasts a 1.77 mark.
 
Harding comes into the weekend with a 14-10 overall record and a 9-6 mark in GAC play.
 
Eaton Jones paces the Bisons with a .337 batting average while Coper Newsom leads the team with six homers and 28 RBI.
 
Merritt Jay leads the pitching staff with a 2.38 ERA and a 3-1 record, while Ryan Romolo has a 4-0 record and a 3.51 ERA.
