RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. –
Alyson Malone was voted the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week for the first time after helping Southeastern to a series win over Southern Nazarene.

The junior from Pottsboro, Texas, made two appearances over the weekend, highlighted by a nine-inning no-hitter in game two, which tied the GAC record for longest no-hitter, previously set in 2017. Malone finished the game with eight strikeouts and became the first SE player to toss a no-hitter since 2024. Malone ended the weekend with 10 strikeouts and one hit allowed in 10.2 innings of work.

This season, the Pottsboro High School product leads the Storm with a 2.50 ERA Â across 42.0 innings and recently picked up her third win in the circle to improve to 3-1. Malone has two complete-game shutouts and has recorded a team-high 43 strikeouts in her 11 appearances.

Southeastern (9-11, 4-2 GAC) is back at home on Tuesday, March 3, for a doubleheader against St. Edwards starting at 1 p.m. at the Southeastern Softball Field.
