Baseball Hosts OBU in Three-Game Weekend Series

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to return to Mike Metheny Field for a weekend conference series as it hosts Oklahoma Baptist beginning with a 3 p.m. contest on Friday, March 27, followed by a Saturday doubleheader slated for noon.
 
The Savage Storm come into the series having won five of its last seven to move to 19-11 overall on the season and 11-7 in Great American Conference play.
 
SE comes into the series hitting .305 as a team, led by Carter Olson's .362 average, while JJ Bush is hitting .352, followed by Isaac Villa's .339 and Ryan Kirk's .319 averages.
 
Olson, Bush, and Kirk are knotted atop the league with 11 home runs each, with all three each driving in more than 30 runs.
 
The Storm pitching staff is led by Estevan Fonseca who is 4-1 on the year with a 5.34 ERA and 20 strikeouts, while Dylan Hill is right behind with a 5.97 ERA and leads the team with 22 strikeouts.
 
The SE bullpen is led by Cody Pfeffer with a pair of wins and a pair of saves to go with a 1.50 ERA and 19 strikeouts over eight appearances.
 
He is joined by Brock Zimmer who has a 0.00 ERA, a win and two saves in nine appearances.
 
OBU comes to town with a 15-13 record overall on the season and an 8-10 mark in GAC play.
 
The Bison are hitting .350 as a team, led by Matt Marsic who is hitting .444 while Tui Amosa is batting .421 with a team-high 29 RBI.
 
OBU is led on the mound by Kody Bialas who carries a 3.35 ERA and 41 strikeouts, while Marcus Peters has a team-high four wins.
