TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Southeastern women's tennis program picks up its first road win of the season, defeating Northeastern State 4-2 at the NSU Tennis Complex.

SE won the first doubles match of the day behind the duo of
Sophia Brooks-Gay and
Amishi Shukla, who dominated at Court 3 with a 6-0 victory. However, NSU would win the next two doubles matches to claim the point and take a 1-0 advantage.

The Storm wasted no time tying the match 1-1, as Shukla picked up a win at line three in straight sets to defeat NSU's Daisy Barrow.
Emilia O'Neill soon followed with a win, defeating Sofiia Kotliarova at spot one by sets of 6-2, 6-2 to give SE a 2-1 edge.
Milana Voloshyn would push the Storm's lead to 3-1 not long after with a win at No. 1, 6-4 and 6-2.

Northeastern State pulled a score back from Court 4 to make it 3-2, but
Sreevally Medishetti would answer back for the Storm, winning 6-0, 6-4 at spot 6 to clinch the match win for SE, 4-2.
Southeastern (5-7) returns to Durant, Okla., to host Arkansas-Fort Smith on Tuesday, March 31, at noon at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.Â
