DURANT, Okla. – With heavy rains expected in Southeastern Oklahoma over the weekend, Savage Storm baseball will be moving its three-game series versus Northwestern Oklahoma State to Alva, Okla., with game one set for Friday, March 6 at 6 p.m. while Saturday, March 7 features a 1 p.m. twinbill at Myers Stadium.

The Savage Storm head into the weekend with a 12-5 overall on the season and a 7-2 mark in Great American Conference play.

SE is coming off a 5-4 midweek win over rival East Central in a non-conference matchup which came on the heels of a four-game stretch that saw the Storm pile up 72 runs over four games.

Isaac Villa and
Carter Olson each carry a .377 batting average which leads the Storm offense, with Olson connecting on team-highs of nine home runs and 27 RBI, while Villa has a team-high nine stolen bases, seven doubles, and 26 runs scored.

Ryan Kirk checks in with a ,368 average and eight home runs while driving in 24 runs, followed by Austin parker,
JJ Bush,
Jacob Ambriz, and
Alex Showalter who are all hitting .300 or better.

Bush has also added five homers and is the third SE player with 20-plus RBI at 21 on the year.

Estevan Fonseca leads the pitching staff with a 3-0 record and a 5.31 ERA with 14 strikeouts across five appearances and three starts.

Brock Zimmer has logged two saves across six appearances.

NWOSU enters the series with a 10-11 record overall on the year and a 3-6 mark in GAC play but have won four-straight, all at home.
