DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern heads to Northwestern Oklahoma State on March 6 and 7 for a three-game GAC series. The Savage Storm and Rangers open with a doubleheader on Friday, March 6, at 2 p.m. and will play a single game on Saturday at noon.

SERIES NOTES
- SE swept NWOSU last season and has won six straight against the Rangers to lead the all-time series 41-6. This weekend's series will mark the first time the two sides have played in Alva since 2022, as the 2024 series was moved to Piedmont, Okla., due to weather.

STORM REPORT
Southeastern rounded out an eight-game home stand with a twin bill split with St. Edwards on Tuesday. The Storm dropped game one 8-2, but bounced back in the second to win 2-0. The win moves to SE to 10-12 overall and are 4-2 in the league standings. This weekend's series at Northwestern will mark the first true road games for the Storm, who are 6-3 at home and 5-9 in neutral-site games.

Alyson Malone, who was named this week's GAC Pitcher of the Week, continued to deal in the circle against the Hilltoppers. The junior posted her second-straight complete game shutout and third overall this season, picking up the win in game two to improve to 4-1. Malone has seen her ERA drop to 2.14, which ranks seventh-best among GAC pitchers this season, and is tied for fourth in strikeouts with 48.

Susan Edwards was the hero in game two against St. Edwards on Tuesday, as the sophomore recorded a two-run triple to plate the winning runs. Edwards leads the team with 33 hits, with two doubles, two triples and a home run, and has batted in six runs and scored 18.
Iliana Olivares paces the Storm lineup with a .432 average and has eight doubles after registering two in game one against the Hilltoppers.

This season, the Storm has recorded 103 runs on 185 hits and is batting .295 as a team. SE has compiled 264 total bases behind 28 doubles, 15 home runs and three triples, and ranks fourth in both two-base hits and homers across the GAC. In the circle, the blue and gold carry a 4.25 ERA with 104 runs allowed on 169 hits, and opposing batters are hitting .274 against the SE pitching staff.

SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE
Northwestern enters the weekend 5-13 overall and 1-5 in the GAC following a series loss to East Central. The Lady Rangers won the opener against ECU to pick up their first win in conference play before dropping back-to-back contests to the Tigers. NWOSU has just one win in its last 12 games, as they get set for its first home games of the season.

The Ranger lineup is led by Kaylee Madden, with 12 hits and is a perfect 5-5 in stolen bases. Kaitlyn Corn has been the biggest bat for NWOSU with three home runs and a double, and leads the team with seven runs batted in. As a team, the Rangers are batting .193 with 36 runs scored on 86 hits. In the circle, NWOSU has pitched by committee with four players with 20 or more innings of work. Chloe Brown holds the best ERA (0.97) and is 2-1 in six appearances.
