RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – After helping Southeastern secure wins against Henderson State and Southern Arkansas,
Lilly Shepherd was tabbed the GAC Player of the Week.

Shepherd finished the week 2-0 in singles play from her No. 5 position and was 1-1 in doubles action with a win at Court 2. The freshman's efforts helped the Savage Storm to a 4-3 win against HSU and a 5-2 victory versus SAU to cap off a 5-0 GAC season.

The Mackay, Australia native began the week with a 6-1, 7-5 win over the Reddies Jordan Parker from line five. Shepherd followed with two wins against SAU, starting with a doubles victory with partner
Amishi Shukla, 6-4, to clinch the doubles point. The Mackay North State product followed with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 in singles against the Muleriders' Victoria Perez.

This season, Shepherd holds an 11-5 overall record in singles play, with six wins coming at line five. In doubles action, the freshman is 8-8, primarily playing at the No. 2 spot with partner
Sreevally Medishetti, who is 5-4 when playing together.
