Baseball Hosts Rival ECU to Close Regular Season

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to close out the regular season in rivalry fashion when it welcomes East Central to Mike Metheny Field for a three-game series set to begin on April 24 with a single game at 2 p.m. followed by an April 25 twinbill at noon.
 
The weekend also serves as senior day for 14 Savage Storm players who will be playing their final home games.
 
SE comes into the weekend with a 26-18 record overall on the season and a 17-13 mark in Great American Conference play, having locked up a berth in the league's postseason tournament and looking to improve its seeding.
 
The storm is paced by Carter Olson who is hitting .371 on the year with 17 home runs and 59 RBI to lead in all three categories.
 
Isaac Villa and JJ Bush are each hitting .353, with Bush putting up 13 doubles, 15 home runs, and 44 RBI, while Villa has nine homers 34 RBI, 59 runs scored and a team-best 22 stolen bases.
 
Ryan Kirk is adding 15 homers and 50 RBI while hitting .323 on the year.
 
The pitching staff is paced by Dylan Hill in the starting position with a 6.26 ERA and a 3-3 record across nine starts with 39 strikeouts.
 
Cody Pfeffer and Brock Zimmer lead the way out of the bullpen, with Zimmer posting a 2.50 ERA and three saves, while Pfeffer is 3-0 with a 2.73 ERA and two saves.
 
The Tigers enter the weekend with a 19-23 record on the season and a 15-15 mark in league play.
 
ECU is led by Max Tremblay who is hitting .395 on the season with 39 RBI, while Joey Allan has 15 doubles and Ryan Strickland has four home runs.
 
Ryan Dombroski paces the pitching staff with a 5.12 ERA and a 2-2 record with 38 strikeouts.
