DURANT, Okla. – After hitting .571 and connecting on four home runs, Southeastern's
Carter Olson picked up NCBWA Central Region Player of the Week honors.

The Savage Storm battled back through the loser's bracket by winning a pair of games to reach the final of its bracket before dropping its second game in the double elimination tournament.

Over that four-game stretch Olson posted a hit in each game, including a pair of games with three hits each on his ay to a .571 average for the weekend.

He homered once in a win over top-seeded Arkansas-Monticello and added a three-run home run effort versus Southern Arkansas.

In addition, he doubled once, drew four walks and two hit by pitches and drove in five runs.

He finished the weekend with a 1.500 slugging percentage and a .700 on base percentage while playing an error-free first base.
