Button Named to WGCA All-American Scholar Team

FRISCO, Texas – Southeastern's Carley Button was named to the 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced on Monday.
 
The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) recognized 1,551 student-athletes this year who had a 3.50 GPA or higher and competed in 50% of the team's rounds in 2025-26.
 
Button continued to add to her list of academic honors this year on Monday, having already picked up CSC Academic All-District Status and GAC Elite Scholar Athlete honors. Additionally, the Denton, Texas native was also named the Co-Female Scholar Athlete of the Year for SE after finishing her junior year with a 4.00 GPA while working toward her Marketing degree.

On the course, the Guyer High School product made history multiple times for the SE program, becoming the first player to qualify for the NCAA Central Regional Tournament and the NCAA National Championships. Button finished second at the NCAA Regional to punch her ticket to the National Championship, where she would place eighth and earn All-American status.
