DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern hosts Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello in back-to-back home matches on Thursday and Friday in Bloomer Sullivan Gym. The Savage Storm meets the Muleriders first on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. before taking on UAM on Friday at 4 p.m.

SERIES NOTES
- The Savage Storm have won seven of the last ten matches against the Muleriders and will look to avenge a 3-2 defeat last season. Southeastern holds the edge in the series 17-14 heading into the 32nd meeting.Â

Southeastern got its second conference win in its last outing, besting Southern Nazarene 3-2 in a five-set thriller at home. SE rallied from down 2-1 to win the fourth and fifth sets, led by an attack that hit at a .243 clip with 62 kills. The win moved the Savage Storm to 7-9 overall and 2-3 in the conference standings.

Gabby Jones and
Rylee Jackson provided the fireworks for the SE attack in the win against SNU, as Jones slammed down a career-high 20 kills, while Jackson tallied 19. Jones is closing in on 200 kills this season, as she leads the Storm with 194 and 3.23 kills per set, which ranks sixth-best across the league. Jackson has three straight matches with 10 or more kills and ranks second on the team with 170 kills, while averaging 2.74 per set.

Facilitating the attack, setter
Jasmin Dion ranks sixth in the GAC with 8.90 assists per set and has totaled 552 this season. Dion set a new career-high in assists against Southern Nazarene, passing around 50 in the Storm's win. Additionally, the Cedar Park, Texas native picked up her fifth double-double with 17 digs and has 139 on the year.

Nykeriah Allen had a big match at the net against the Crimson Storm, totaling 6.0 blocks, including two solo denials. Allen moved into the top 10 in blocks in the GAC with 0.81 blocks per set and has 50.0 total denials across 62 sets. The middle blocker has also provided a spark for the SE attack with 109 kills this season on a .282 attack percentage and is averaging 1.76 kills per frame.

SCOUTING SOUTHERN ARKANSAS
The Muleriders recently picked up their first conference win of the season, defeating Arkansas-Monticello at home 3-0. The win moved SAU to 1-4 in the GAC standings and 5-11 overall and ended a three-match losing streak. Southern Arkansas has struggled on the road this season with a 0-4 mark, with three of those coming in league play.

Leading the charge for the Mulerider attack are Peighton Killeen and Brinklee Dauenhauer with 147 and 144 kills, respectively. Killeen tied for a team-high 10 kills against UAM, marking the eighth time she has eclipsed double-digit kills in a match this season. Defensively, Kendall Toliver paces SAU with 293 digs, averaging 5.05 per set, while Courtnee Morgan has chipped in 43.0 total blocks.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO
UAM is still searching for its first GAC win this season after its loss to SAU most recently, as they are 2-15 overall and 0-5 in the GAC. The Blossoms have lost their last nine matches, with their last win coming on September 5
th against Lane College in a 3-0 win.

Spearheading the UAM attack is Sophia Grubbs, who is averaging 3.13 kills per set with a team-high 172 kills. Grubbs has reached double-digit kills in her last two matches, recording 19 against Henderson State and 16 versus SAU. The Blossoms lean on two setters to set the offense, as Ella Cline has passed around 206 assists, while Shayla Lacamiento has 156 assists this season.
