DURANT, Okla. – Despite 316 yards of total offense from Jercolby Bradley the Southeastern upset bid fell just short, dropping a 27-24 decision to No. 12 Ouachita Baptist on Saturday afternoon at Paul Laird Field on homecoming.

The loss drops SE to 1-3 overall on the season and 0-3 in Great American Conference play, while the Tigers improve to 4-0 on the year and 2-0 in league play.

Bradley accounted for 316 of Southeastern's 360 yards of offense, passing for 181 yards on 16-of-29 passing with one score and rushed for another 135 yards and two scores.  He becomes the first Storm runner to top 100 yards on the year.

Krishon Daye caught Bradley's lone TD toss and finished with a pair of catches for 11 yards.  Keelen Green led the receiving corps with three catches for 54 yards, while Anthony Gale added three catches for 28 yards.  Ladarius Abrams turned in the longest reception of the day, a 44 yard screen pass in the second half.

Aside from Bradley's scrambling performance, the SE running game was stifled with Abrams picking up adding 33 yards on the ground.

Izzy Eziakor led the way for the defense with a game-best 13 tackles, while Josh Garcia added nine tackles and the duo of Emmanual Jackson and Derek Ogg each added eight stops.

Jackson and Zach Smith each recovered a fumble on the day, while Chad Tucker added a blocked punt.

OBU wasted little time in putting the first points on the board, taking advantage of a  69-yard run by quarterback Ty Towers when Steven Kehner scored from one-yard-out on fourth down to take a 7-0 lead.

The Storm would answer however, first with a 36-yard Chris Peoples field goal and then later cashing in on a Tiger fumble with a Bradley to Krishon Daye TD toss to give the Storm a 10-7 advantage after one quarter.

OBU, however, would tie the game at 10-10 at the 13:12 mark of the second quarter when Jason Fowler connected on a 39-yard field goal.

After a mostly quiet middle portion of the quarter, SE's Chad Tucker would block a Clark Gaddis punt, but the Tigers would return the favor on the ensuing Storm drive when Marquez Massey blocked a Nick Sioson punt and four plays later Towers connected with Brett Reece for a 25-yard touchdown to put OBU ahead 17-10 with 2:09 to play in the half.

Southeastern would march the next drive down the field in the two-minute drill moving from their own 15 yardline to the Tiger 18 yardline where a 35-yard Peoples field goal was blocked by Dennis Stratton and the Storm would trail 17-10 at halftime.

On the first drive of the second half Bradley used his arm for a 23 yard pickup to Green before calling his own number on the ground four plays later to score on a 32 yard run to tie the game at 17-17 with 12:51 remaining in the third quarter.

OBU would drive back down the field on their next possession and cap a 16-play, 92 yard drive with Fowler's second field goal of the day, this one from 20 yards out to put the Tigers in front 20-17 with 6:32 to play in the third quarter.

After the defense picked up a stop, SE marched the ensuing drive back down the field with Bradley capping the five-play, 73 yard drive with a 19 yard TD run, his second of the day, on the first play of the fourth quarter.  The key play on the drive was a Bradley to Abrams screen pass that went for 44 yards from the Storm 22 to the OBU 34 yardline.

The SE advantage wouldn't last long, however, as OBU drove the ball back down the field on the next possession and capped a 69-yard, eight-play drive when Tower hit Chris Rycraw for a four-yard TD toss on a reverse pass play.  The score gave the Tigers a 27-24 advantage with 9:44 to play in the contest.

The Storm defense would force an OBU punt and take over with 2:29 to play in the contest.

Bradley would pick up a pair of fourth-and-long plays using his feet, but a hail mary attempt on the game's final play was batted down at the five-yard line to doom SE to a 27-24 loss.
