RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – On the strength of a pair of all-conference runners, Southeastern posted a third-place finish at the Great American Conference meet held on Saturday morning in Russellville, Ark.

The third-place finish is the best finish at the Great American Conference meet in school history and comes in a season in which the team was picked to finish eighth in the preseason poll.

The Savage Storm finished with 113 points, one point better than East Central's 114. Harding won the meet with a score 0f 21, followed by Southern Arkansas at 49.

Bailee Weger led the squad with a personal best of 19:37.8 to finish 19
th and earn all-conference honors.

Fellow freshman
Haylee Story turned in her first sub-20 minute time of the season and finished with all-conference honors in 20
th with a time of 19:44.4.

Shelby Fraser continued to best her marks, shaving nearly 50 seconds off her previous season best and turning in a 20:08.5 to finish 29
th.

Tracie Lee was just three spots back with a personal best of 20:16.2 to finish 32
nd.

Amanda Kirby crossed in 37
th with a personal best of 20:27.6, finishing just two seconds ahead of
Kayle Reaves who finished 38
th with a personal best of 20:29.5.

Southeastern will next be in action when it travels to Sioux Falls, S.D. to run in the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship on Nov. 9.
