JOPLIN, Mo. – The Southeastern Oklahoma State cross-country team wraps up its season with a 19
th-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Central Region Championship with a final team score of 541.
Augustana won the Central Region Championship with a combined team score of 82, while Pittsburg State (110) and U-Mary (116) secured second and third, respectively. Rounding out the Top 5, Winona State placed fourth with 130 points and Rogers State fifth with 137.
SE finished just ahead of GAC foes Harding, who placed 20th with a team score of 571 and was five spots ahead of Southern Arkansas (696) in the final team leaderboard. Ouachita Baptist saw the best conference finish, placing tenth with a combined team score of 291.
Ashlen Clem paced the Savage Storm lineup with a personal-best time at a 6K run, crossing the line at 22:51.92 in 81
st place.
Anjelika Abraham also saw a personal-best time at 22:58.20 to earn an 89
th-place finish.
Next to cross the line for the Storm was
Alexis Longoria in 115
th with a time of 23:31.31 for a new personal-best time, and
Rayla Castillo followed close behind at 23:36.10 for a personal-record time to place 121
st.
Katlen Clem joined in with a new personal-record time of 23:57.92 in 144
th place, while
Arden Kesterson (166
th) set a season-best time of 24:42.61.
Calibre Keene would reach the finish line at 25:19.76 to finish 187
th.
