FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern took part in the Prairie Fire Pepper 5K run, part of the Chili Pepper event, and finished with a team score of 141 to place third.

The Savage Storm was just edged out by Union (Tenn.), who won the meet with 135 points, while Rockhurst grabbed second with a score of 139. The blue and gold would finish ahead of three GAC programs, including Southern Arkansas, which finished 11
th as a team. Southwestern Oklahoma State claimed 16
th with 399 points, while Henderson State rounded out the GAC teams in 25
th.

The Southeastern lineup was paced by
Katlen Clem, finishing in the top 15 individually with a time of 18:55.9 to place 12
th. Next to cross the line,
Anahi Machuca (27
th) and
Devyn Doakes (28
th) finished back-to-back at 19:24.8 and 19:25.3, respectively, to round out the top 30 finishers for the Storm. On the heels of the duo,
Ashlen Clem earned 40
th place individually with a time of 19:49.8.

Tatum Cross turned in the next for SE, crossing the finish line at 20:08.5, and was followed by
Genevi Martinez, who put in a time of 20:16.6 to claim 58
th on the leaderboard. Just seconds later,
Anjelika Abraham finished at 20:22.8, while
Mireyda Samper and
Cassandra Vargas put in times of 20:31.6 and 20:33.2.

Calibre Keene followed that pair at 20:4.6, and moments later,
Aereonna Cardenas and
Sarah Coblentz finished in succession with times of 20:52.8 and 20:54.8, respectively. Rounding out the day for Southeastern,
Naomi Cotero,
McKenna Wood and
Andrea Lopez recorded times of 21:14.3, 22:01.5 and 22:57.5.

Southeastern is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Old Glory Gallup, hosted by DBU, for the final regular-season meet of 2025.
