Box Score DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern got double-digit kill outings from
Courtney Miller and
Megan Kunkel en route to an impressive 3-0 win over Southern Nazarene on Tuesday night in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

The Savage Storm entered the match tied for seventh in the Great American Conference standings and improved to 12-15 overall and 6-6 in league play, while SNU come to town in second in the GAC standings and now fall to 19-9 overall and 9-2 in conference play.

SE will wrap up the home portion of its schedule on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 9, when it hosts Henderson State for senior day.

Miller continued her strong play of late with 12 kills, hitting .333 in the process, while Kunkel hit .259 en route to a 10 kill performance.

Julia Benford added six kills, while
Emily Gentle chipped in five.

Madelynne Cera also had six kills in the match while dishing out 26 assists along with 12 digs.

Miller wrapped up a double-double with a team-high 13 digs, while
Taylor Benner added 10.

Benford turned in a team-best two blocks.

The opening set was by far the closest, with the teams battling out to a 10-10 tie before SNU scored five-straight to mount a 15-10 lead.

SE responded with an 8-2 run to regain the lead and would pull ahead and hold off the Crimson Storm for a 25-23 win in the set.

Set two was also even in the early going as the teams traded points until the Storm had a 10-9 lead on SNU.
Â
At that point an 8-3 SE run would push the lead out to 18-12 and the Storm would go on to win 25-17.
Â
The third set was all Southeastern as the Storm jumped to a 6-2 lead and proceeded to pull away, leading by as much as 22-11.

SNU did score eight-straight down the stretch to make the match interesting, but SE would score the final three points to clinch the 25-19 win in the third and final set.
