SE Faces ATU on Final Road Trip

LIVE VIDEO | LIVE AUDIO | LIVE STATS | GAME NOTES

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern football closes out the road portion of its schedule when it heads to Russellville, Ark., to take on Arkansas Tech at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9.

The Savage Storm head in to the second-to-last game of the season looking to finish strong and snap a three-game losing skid that has dropped the Storm to 2-7 on the season overall and 2-6 in Great American Conference play.

SE will also be looking to snap a two-game losing streak in the series with ATU which included a disappointing 45-38 road loss a season ago in which SE saw a 31-14 lead in the third quarter evaporate.

The Wonder Boys come into the 2013 meeting with a 4-5 record overall and a 4-4 mark in league play and are fresh off a win over East Central.

Southeastern's offense enters the game with an impressive 465.9 yards per game average, running up 167.6 ypg on the ground and 277.8 through the air.

The team has balanced the offense so well this season that it potentially could see something that has not happened in the program's history, and that is have players post 2,000 yards passing, 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving in the same season.

One-third of the feat has already been accomplished as Nick Sioson has turned in 2,379 yards passing which is the most of a quarterback in the Ray Richards era, doing so on 224-of-390 passing with 16 touchdowns.  His yardage mark is currently the fourth-best single season in SE passing history.

The next closest individual to reaching the plateau is Devlon Wortham who has 905 yards on 139 carries this season which is already in the top-10 in single-season rushing yards with two games to play and he could potentially turn in just the eighth 1,000-yard season, and the first since Baylen Laury in 2010.

The final piece of the puzzle is Anthony Foster who has tallied to this point the seventh-best receiving season in school history with 869 yards and could potentially post just the fourth 1,000-yard receiving season ever at SE.  He also has the added opportunity of setting SE's single season receptions record which is 74 catches by Henry Hill in 1985, while Foster currently has 63, but is averaging 7.0 receptions per game.

The ATU offense comes in averaging 342.3 yards per game of total offense, with 133 on the ground and 208 through the air.

The Wonderboys are led on the ground by Ketrich Harmon who has 680 rushing yards on the season and four scores, while Justin Owens has added nine touchdowns.

Luke Halpin has tossed for 1,470 yards, completing 66.8 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and six picks.

His favorite target by receptions is Jonathan Keener who has 27, but three ATU receivers have more than 20 catches on the season and four have at least 200 yards receiving, while John Simpson leads the way with three touchdown catches.
