DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will set out to even its season record when it takes the field for the last of its three-game home stand to host Southern Nazarene at 2 p.m. on Oct. 11 at Paul Laird Field.

While the game starts at 2 p.m., fans are invited to Tailgate Alley hosted by the Southeastern Alumni Association. Fans who make come out early for the tailgate festivities will have the opportunity to meet the Savage Storm team as they make an appearance at 11:15 a.m. More information regarding Tailgate alley can be found

The Savage Storm come into the contest with a 2-3 record overall and a 1-3 mark in Great American Conference play, and are coming off a 53-7 victory over Bacone last time out.

The Crimson Storm makes the trip to Durant after a 31-26 loss at home to East Central which dropped SNU to 0-5 on the year and 0-5 in GAC play.

SE put up 463 yards last week, while the defense had its best effort of the season by holding the Warriors to 148 yards of total offense, including just 35 yards rushing.

The Storm will continue to lean on its talented running game offensively which has averaged 229.8 yards per game.

It was bolstered last week with the return of
Devlon Wortham who turned in three touchdowns and 83 yards on 11 carries in one half of work after being limited since an injury in game two.

He and
Ronnie Green have paced the rushing attack on the year with Wortham piling up 439 yards and six touchdowns with a 109.8 ypg average, while Green has added 397 yards and four scores while averaging 79.4 ypg.

The passing game has also picked up as
Ryan Polite has completed 60.3 percent of his passes for 1,078 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 215.6 ypg.

His top targets have been
Franky Okafor who has 269 yards on 18 catches and
Anthony Foster who is right behind with 265 yards on 22 grabs.Â
Kaymon Farmer is third with 182 yards on 21 catches.

Farmer and Okafor each have a team-best two receiving touchdowns.

The defense scored its first touchdown of the season against Bacone when
Raheem Wilson returned an interception 28 yards for SE's first TD of the game.

Overall,
Thomas Curry leads all tacklers with 30 on the season, while seven others have racked up 20 or more tackles over the first five games.

SE also added a pair of blocked punts last week, both by
Devan Drake, and now has three blocks on the season.

SNU posted its highest yardage output of the season against the Tigers with 438 yards of total offense, 305 of which were through the air.

For the season the Crimson Storm average 227.8 ypg on offense while posting 10.8 ppg.

The defense conversely has allowed 457.8 yards per outing while opponents have scored 44.6 ppg.

The rushing game is paced by Lorenzo Alexander who is averaging 67.8 yards per game with one touchdown.

Through the air SNU is led by James Mauro who has 801 yards and four scores while completing 44.2 percent of his passes.

Austin Williams has been the team's primary receiver with 16 catches for 258 yards and three of the team's five touchdowns in the passing game.

Matthew Gregg leads the defense with 42 tackles, while three other defenders have piled up 30 or more tackles on the season.
