DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern's
Alberto Blesa has been named to the CoSIDA District 7 Academic All-District At-Large team as announced on Thursday.

The at-large teams recognize players from across multiple sports which include tennis, golf, wrestling and swimming.
Â
Blesa, a junior from Madrid, Spain, is a match major with a 3.88 GPA.
Â
He was named second team All-Great American Conference and a Crafton Tull Distinguished Scholar while finishing the regular season with 12 wins in doubles play with a pair of five-match winning streaks, while in singles play he had six wins, with a 3-1 mark in GAC play.

Blesa has added one to that since the end of the regular season, picking up doubles wins in both of the SE victories in the GAC tournament as well as picking up the lone Storm doubles point against Nebraska-Kearney in regional play.

He has also added a straight-sets singles victory against UNK in regional play.

Blesa and the men's tennis team will be making their first appearance at the NCAA National Championship Tournament when they face Midwestern State in the Round of 16 at 2 p.m. (MT) in Denver, Colo.
