Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Southeastern baseball saw its 2016 season come to an end with an early exit at the Great American Conference Tournament Final Four with a 10-0 loss in the first elimination game to Henderson State on Friday afternoon in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 29-25 to end the season.

The SE offense was unable to find any offense on the day, and was held hitless for the first time since joining NCAA Division II.

Logan Terwilliger drew a two-out walk in the fourth inning and stole second but was left stranded and would ultimately be the only base runner the Storm had on the day.

Matt Benedict got the start on the hill and started off well with three scoreless innings before a bases loaded HBP would drive in the first HSU run of the day in the fourth, but he would work out of the jam and limit the damage at 1-0 before being knocked out of the game in the fourth. He finished the day with 4.1 innings of work, allowing five runs on nine hits with a pair of strikeouts to fall to 6-4 on the season.

Bryce Clemons made his second appearance of the tournament and tossed 2.2 scoreless and hitless innings while striking out three.

Brady Colbert would come on to finish the contest, tossing the final two innings and allowing five runs on seven hits.

The Reddies took a 1-0 lead in the fourth and expanded it in the fifth with four runs on four hits to go up 5-0.

SE stopped the momentum, but was unable to mount any offense for a rally before HSU tacked on two more runs in the eighth and three in the ninth to hand the Storm the 10-0 loss.
