DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern sets out to keep its winning streak alive when it travels to Weatherford, Okla., for a 2 p.m. matchup against Southwestern Oklahoma State on Oct. 1.

The Savage Storm head into the contest with a 3-1 record and have won three-straight since a season-opening loss.

SE has put 40-plus points on the board in each of its wins, including a 45-14 win over Southern Nazarene for homecoming a week ago.

The Storm scored 31-straight points over a stretch of that contest to pull away and position itself into a tie for third in the league standings with Ouachita Baptist, a team SE has beaten, and Southern Arkansas, who Southeastern plays on Oct. 29.

The Storm rushing attack has picked up the pace as the season has moved, hitting a season best 322 yards last time out, highlighted by a 213 yard effort by
Devlon Wortham and three rushing scores by
Ronnie Green.

The team rushing offense has moved to third in the Great American Conference, while Wortham and Green are both ranked in the top 10 in rushing in the league at third and sixth, respectively.

CB Cantwell has been near the top in the conference in efficiency with a league best 73.7 completion percentage and is second in passer rating at 170.5 through four games.

He has thrown for 582 yards on the season and eight touchdowns, hitting 11 different receivers, led by
Kaymon Farmer with 16 catches for 319 yards despite not playing last game while
Bryce Steele has 136 yards on 14 catches. Both Farmer and Steele have three touchdown receptions apiece.

SE's big play defense has been key to its 3-1 start, specifically forcing turnovers where SE is third nationally in turnovers gained with 14 and sixth in the country in turnover margin at plus-nine over four contests.

The Storm have scored 57 points off its turnovers on the season and hold a 43 point advantage in scoring off turnovers against their opponents.

Raheem Wilson,
Nicholas Sierra and
Brickey Reed lead the team in tackles with 20 each, while Wilson has snagged a pair of interceptions, forced and recovered a fumble and broken up seven passes.

SWOSU enters the weekend at 0-4 on the season after a 45-17 loss to Henderson State a week ago.

Marc Evans paces the offense with 805 yards passing on the year, completing 48.5 percent of his passes and connecting on four touchdowns.

His top target has been D.J. Jones who has hauled in 24 receptions for 326 yards and three scores.

Karltrell Henderson leads the Bulldogs on the ground with 60 carries for 383 yards and five scores.

Conner Bays leads the defense with 53 tackles, while Kevin Joseph has hauled in three interceptions.
