FT. SCOTT, KAN. – Southeastern had a rough team weekend at the Fort Scott CC Rodeo, but still managed solid individual outings in the second event of the spring semester.

Kolton White highlighted the men's side of competition as he was the only bull rider on the weekend to record two full rides, thus taking home the bull riding championship.

He opened the weekend with an 83 in the long go and was the only competitor to pull off a ride in that round.
Â
He followed up with a 73 in the finals to take home the event title.
Â
The win lifted him to third in the region standings and leaves Southeastern with the top three spots in the bull riding regional standings as
Fulton Rutland leads with
Hayden Harris in second.

On the women's side of the competition, the goat tyers posted a solid outing, with
Shelby Whiting turning in a 7.1 in the long go and following up with a 7.3 in the finals, splitting 4
th/5
th in the round and finishing fifth for the weekend.

Lainey Cooper finished the first round in 10
th with a 7.8 run and followed that up with an 8.3 in the finals and ended up with an eighth place finish overall for the event.

ShiAnn Henderson continues to lead the region in goat tying, while Whiting has moved into second place.

As a team the women hold down second place in the region, while the men sit fifth.
