Zinara Lesley paced Southeastern to an eighth-place finish at the mixed division UIW Cross Country Invitational over the weekend in San Antonio, Texas.

Lesley clocked her best 5K time of the season as she navigated the course in a time of 19:02.3 to finish 30
th in the race.

She led a group of four Savage Storm runners to run sub-20 times, with
Ashley Martinez-Medina next in line with a time of 19:28.9 to finish 40
th.

Two more checked in hot on her heels as
Rachel Wynn posted a time of 19:50.3 to cross in 43
rd, while
Megan Rose timed a 19:50.3 and finished 46
th.

Bailey Pritchett was the fifth runner in for SE, clocking a 20:23.7 to finish 56
th.

Madelynn Coffey rounded out the Storm runner by finishing 62
nd with a time of 20:50.1.

Southeastern posted 200 points as a team, finishing in eighth place, one point behind Our Lady of the Lake.

The Savage Storm will be back in action on Oct. 9 with a trip to Wichita Falls, Texas for the Mustang Invite in the final tune up before the Great American Conference Championship slated for Oct. 23.
