The Savage Storm head into Saturday's contest with a 4-1 record after a narrow 27-24 loss to then No. 13 Henderson State, while the Muleriders return home on the heels of a 38-17 loss at East Central which dropped them to 2-3 overall on the season.

The SE offense has been triggered by quarterback
Daulton Hatley who has tossed for 1,203 yards while completing 63.2 percent of his passes with 10 touchdowns.

He has spread the ball primarily between four receivers who have each logged more than 200 yards receiving.

That group is led in yardage by
Marquis Gray who ranks among the best in the country in yards per catch, racking up 268 yards on just 12 catches with a touchdown, while
Braxton Kincade is right on his tail with 265 yards on 22 grabs and a team-best four touchdowns.

Katrell Blakely leads the team in receptions with 23 while picking up 224 yards and a score, with
Duce Pittman picking up 230 yards on 16 catches with a pair of touchdowns.

CJ Shavers leads the ground game in yardage with 319 yards on 57 carries with a touchdown, while
Deundre Wheeler has 207 yards on 35 totes with a team-best six rushing scores.

Maalik Hall leads the team in tackles with 28 on the year as well as pacing the club in tackles for a loss with seven and sacks with two.

Six other players have logged 20-or-more tackles on the season, while
Ke'Shawn Somerville has recorded five pass breakups while
Jeremiah Baltrip has four.

SAU is led through the air by Hayden Mallory who has tossed for 1,294 yards while completing 63.1 percent of his passes with 12 touchdowns across from seven interceptions.

His top target on the year has been Micah Small who has piled up 446 yards on 28 catches with six touchdowns, while Dekendrick Bender has four receiving TDs and 241 yards on 19 catches.

Jariq Scales leads the team's ground game with 594 yards rushing on 99 carries with four rushing scores.

Floyd Brock, Rayvon Ingram, and Onyei Orupabo are knotted atop the team's defense with 32 tackles apiece, while Floyd has a team best two picks, with the duo of Demoni Jones and Dawson Scott each recording three sacks.
