DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be looking to cap off its turnaround season with a win on Dec. 4 when it takes on Emporia State at noon in the Farmers Bank and Trust Live United Bowl in Texarkana, Ark.

The Savage Storm finished the regular season 8-3 and put together one of the biggest turnarounds in Division II history, improving seven games off its 1-10 2019 season.

SE will be facing its first out of conference opponent since the 2014 season when it last played in the Live United Bowl, losing to Central Missouri.

It will also be the first matchup on the gridiron between Southeastern and Emporia State in a game that counts, as the teams also faced off in a spring scrimmage back in April.

A total of 12 Storm players picked up All-GAC honors at the conclusion of the regular season, led by
Maalik Hall's Defensive Player of the Year honor as well as seeing
Tyler Fenwick take home Coach of the Year honors.

Hall would also go on to pick up D2CCA First Team All-Super Region 3 recognition.

The offense featured a pair of first team picks across the offensive line in
James Walker and
Caleb Weatherford, while
CJ Shavers, the team's leading rusher with 777 yard, averaging 5.9 yards per carry, was a second team honoree.

Daulton Hatley has tossed for 2,850 yards and 24 touchdowns while completing 64.9 percent of his passes, earning him honorable mention All-GAC honors.

Braxton Kincade joined him on the All-GAC team and has racked up nine touchdowns on 53 catches with 652 yards, while
Katrell Blakely has a team-best 68 grabs with 624 yards.

Scooter Baker also took home first team honors and paces the defense in tackles with 73 with six tackles for loss.

Hall has 53 stops on the year but leads the way in sacks with 6.0, while
Josh Mulumba and
Jaylen Shaw each have a pair of interceptions.

The Hornets head into the game with a 6-5 record on the season, with four of their five losses coming by one possession.

ESU leans on its passing game where Braden Gleason has put up 3,084 yards and 27 touchdowns while completing 66.5 percent of his passes.

He has spread the ball around a bevy of receivers, with four players having 30 or more catches and five having at least 300 yards receiving. Tyler Kahmann and Jaylen Varner lead the way with four TD catches apiece.

Canaan Brooks leads the way on the ground with 663 yards and seven touchdowns.

Dawson Hammes and Cade Harrelson have each tallied over 80 tackles on the season, with Jordan Williams posting a team-best five sacks, while Jaedon Pool and Arich Ansley each have two picks. Â
