DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern put together back-to-back wins over Southern Arkansas, 4-2,  and Arkansas Tech, 5-2, before seeing its three-match conference winning streak come to an end in a 4-3 loss to Harding, before closing out the weekend with a 7-0 loss to Seward County CC.

The 2-2 weekend helped lift the Savage Storm to 11-8 overall on the season and 3-1 in Great American Conference play with two matches remaining.

SE got off and running against Southern Arkansas by taking the doubles point.

They did that by watching Vanessa Cozamanis and Zulay Castaneda pick up a 6-1 win at number one while Elizaveta Tregubova and Vanessa Nitu picked up a 6-1 win at three doubles.

SAU would pick up wins at the one and two singles spots, but the Storm would come rolling back with a Georgia Hosking 6-3, 6-1 win at number three to get back on track.

That was followed by a 6-4, 6-4 win at four by Tregubova, and a 6-0, 6-0 win by India Shiaelis at number five to clinch the 4-2 win.

SE was unable to carry its doubles momentum into its matchup with ATU, dropping the doubles point, but responded in singles play.

The Golden Suns would swipe a singles point at number three, but Tregubova would get the Storm back in line with a 6-2, 7-5 win at number four.

Shiaelis picked up another win at five, 6-1, 6-3, before Cozamanis rounded out the 5-2 victory with a 6-1, 7-5 win at number six.

Versus the Bisons, Hosking and Shiaelis would pick up a 6-2 win at number two doubles, but HU would pick up the doubles point.
