SE Set for Series at Rival ECU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will kick off a seven-game road trip to end the season, starting with a three-game series against rival East Central with game one slated for 3 p.m. on April 30 followed by a May 1 doubleheader at noon in Ada, Okla.
 
The Savage Storm head into the contest at 14-19 on the season and 10-17 in Great American Conference play.
 
SE swept the Tigers in a season-opening, non-conference series to start off 2021 and has put together four-straight wins in the series and won eight of the last 10 games between the teams overall.
 
Seth Morrow paces the Southeastern offense with a .398 average while turning in 13 doubles, 11 home runs, and 45 RBI which all rank among the best marks in the GAC.

Colton Buckner and Slayde Ortiz are each hitting better than .300 on the year, with Buckner posting nine homers and 29 BRI while Ortiz has driven in 22.
 
Jacob Potter continues to pace the Storm starters in ERA at 5.32 as well as strikeouts with 42, while Tyler Dean and Mason Whitmarsh each have three wins.
 
KC Bryan has a team-best 3.22 ERA over 10 appearances, and four different pitchers have recorded a save on the year.
 
ECU comes into the series with a 4-30 record on the year overall and a 4-23 mark in league play.
 
Garrett Lemons leads the Tigers with a .310 average as well as seven doubles, four home runs, and 23 RBI.
 
Spencer Johnston leads the pitching staff with a 5.37 ERA over 11 starts with 51 strikeouts.
