DURANT, Okla. – Coming off a victory over nationally-ranked Harding, Southeastern will return to Paul Laird Field for a second-straight week, this time looking to maintain its momentum when it hosts Southwestern Oklahoma State at 6 p.m.

The Savage Storm enter the contest 2-0 on the season after picking up a win over then-No. 17/12 HU, breaking a four-game losing skid to ranked opponents and getting SE off to a 2-0 start for the first time since the 2017 season.

The Bulldogs come to town with an 0-2 mark on the year after falling to Southern Arkansas 42-27 after the Mulerider scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns to erase a three-quarter SWOSU lead.

The rivalry with SWOSU is the second-longest running for Southeastern with Saturday's matchup being the 89
th time it has been contested with the Storm owning a 47-38-3 record in the series all time, but looking to avenge a 35-17 loss from the 2019 season.

The Storm offense rolls into the game averaging 35.0 ppg overall on the season and has found success through the air and on the ground.

Daulton Hatley has connected on 65.2 percent of his passes for 602 yards and four touchdowns on the season, spreading the ball around between 11 receivers.

Braxton Kincade has been the most popular of those receivers, having hauled in 14 catches for 183 yards and two scores, while
Katrell Blakely has eight grabs.

Marquis Gray has tallied 136 yards on four catches with a touchdown, while
Duce Pittman has six grabs for 119.

Pablo Perini each have a touchdown catch, with Lowe hauling in the final score in the win against Harding before Perini corralled the two-point conversion toss to secure the win in addition to his game opening score off the reverse pass from Kincade.

CJ Shavers leads the way with 171 yards on 24 carries, while
Deundre Wheeler has 92 yards on 17 totes with three TDs.
Ryan Taylor also has a score along with 38 yards on 13 carries.

Trey Keatts has connected on a field goal in each contest and is 2-for-2 on the year, both coming from the 30-to-39 area on the field while also going 7-gfor-7 on PAT.

Maalik Hall and
Josh Mulumba who have 10 tackles apiece, while
Ja'Lon Freeman has nine.

Hall has also racked up a league-best five tackles for loss, including a sack, while

The pass rush and the secondary look to be busy on Saturday as the Bulldogs come in averaging 353.0 yards per game through the air despite putting up 20.0 ppg.

Tanner Griffen has connected on 59.8 percent of his passes for 706 yards and five touchdowns while also tossing five picks over two games.

His top targets have been Adrian Williams and Justin Bailey who have nine catches each, with Williams posting 117 yards and Bailey leading the team with 185.
