DURANT, Okla. – For the second time in three weeks Southeastern's
Skye Royall has been named the Great American Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week following her efforts in a pair of matches last week.
Â
Royall, a native of Safety Bay, Australia, posted a 2-0 record in singles play, opening her week with a 6-1, 6-3 win over No. 38 Midwestern State's Hannah Yip in the two position.
Â
Despite a loss in doubles play, she would help the Storm to a 4-3 win over MSU.
Â
Three days later she would help SE attempt a rally versus No. 19 Drury as she downed Nastasia Jedrychowski by a 6-4, 6-1 margin, at the time knotting the match at 2-2, before the Storm would ultimately fall 4-3.
Â
Royall and SE will be back on the court March 31 and April 1 in Wichita, Kan., first facing Newman before following that up with a matchup versus Northwest Missouri State.
