SE Football Set to Close Out Road Slate at ATU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will hit the road for the final time this season when it heads to Russellville, Ark., to take on Arkansas Tech on Saturday, Nov. 4 for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
 
The Savage Storm head into the weekend with a 4-5 record but has won four of its last six games.
 
On the ground, SE is led by DJ Brown who has put together 489 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries, while Ryan Hirt also has four scores with 233 yards on 34 carries.
 
A trio of quarterbacks have seen action for Southeastern, with Kane Donovan and Weston Conaway each seeing action last week.
 
Conaway leads that duo with 574 yards and four touchdowns while completing 54.5 percent of his passes.
 
Donovan has completed 58.1 percent of his tosses for 395 yards and three scores.
 
Hunter Hawthorne has been the top target on the season with 31 catches for 421 yards and a touchdown.
 
Kaleb Whitley is next in line with 385 yards and a touchdown on 28 catches, while Marquis Gray has 384 yards and 25 grabs with a team-best five touchdowns.
 
On defense, Cameron Tate and Michael Hookfin lead the way with 58 tackles apiece, with Tyveon Williams next up with 49 stops.
 
Kevin Simes is ranked near the top of the GAC in sacks with eight on the season, while Hookfin, PJ Larry, and Joseph Jones each have two interceptions.
 
ATU comes into the weekend with a 4-5 record as well and paced by quarterback Taye Gatewood who has 1,835 yards and 13 touchdowns while completing 65.7 percent of his passes.
 
His top target has been Caleb Tanis with 39 catches for 473 yards and six touchdowns, while Matthew Rivera has 35 grabs for 392 yards and three scores.
 
The ground game is paced by Deuce Wise who has 341 yards on 79 carries, while Gatewood has 142 yards and two scores rushing with Jordan Edington leading the team with six rushing touchdowns.
 
Jyrin Steward leads the Wonder Boys on defense with 54 tackles, while Vershaud Richardson has a team-best 8.5 sacks.
