Cross Country Closes Season at Central Regional

JOPLIN, Mo. – Southeastern cross country closed out the 2023 season on Saturday with a 26^th place finish at the NCAA DII Central Region Championship held in Joplin, Mo.
 
The Savage Storm tallied 763 points total, finishing ahead of Minnesota-Crookston and Southern Nazarene immediately behind them.
 
Yazmin Reyes led SE in the 6K run with a time of 23:59.05 to finish in 145^th place.
 
Alexis Longoria was the next Storm runner to cross, clocking a time of 24:09.83 to finish 154^th, with teammate Madison Rowe two spots behind her in 156^th with a run of 24:13.81.
 
Sarah Coblentz was the fourth SE runner in after posting a time of 24:19.65 which put her in 160^th.
 
Arden Kesterson followed in 166^th place after clocking a run of 24:33.40.
 
Ashlyn Vasquez was next with a time of 25:14.26 to cross in 178^th place, while Genevi Martinez rounded out the Storm runners with a time of 25:44.23 to finish in 186^th place.
