DURANT, Okla. – Vinicious Outer made a run to a B draw championship to highlight Southeastern's run at the 2023 ITA Central Region Championships hosted by Washburn over the weekend in Topeka, Kan.

Vinicious Outer posted the best weekend of SE's singles competitors as he would open with a 2-6, 6-1, 10-5 win in the round of 32 in the B draw over Nebraska-Kearney's Ahmed Abdelaziz and followed it up with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Washburn's Ivan Ivanov in the round of 16. That was followed by a 6-3, 7-5 win in the quarterfinals over Nicolo Lippolis from Newman to reach the semis.

In the semifinals he would down Graham Faris from Washburn 6-4, 6-4 and would complete his run to the B draw championship with another win over a Washburn player, this time taking down Pieper Moritz 6-3, 4-6, 10-3.

In the men's A draw,
Luis Ching would highlight the Storm men with a pair of wins, first picking up a 6-2, 6-3 win over seventh-seeded Anis Ramchane from Arkansas-Ft. Smith to advance. In the round of 32 he would score a 7-6 (10), 6-4 win over Washburn's Daniel Bird to reach the round of 16. His run would come to an end there though as he fell to Southern Arkansas' Tim Fischer 6-3, 6-4.

No. 9 seed
Stipan Madzar also picked up an opening round win over Vinicius Rodrigues of Northwest Missouri State, before falling in the round of 32 to Fischer, 6-4, 6-3.

Thabo Ncube opened play in the round of 64 with a 7-6 (4), 6-4 win over Newman's Kurt Suarez Bruckner, but saw his run cut short a round later against top-seeded Andrea Zamurri from Northwest Missouri State.

Eighth-seed
Juan Gonzalez would also tack on a first-round win in the A draw, downing Washburn's Daniel Harkin 6-1, 7-5, but was tripped up in the round of 64 with a loss to Anton Sarunic from Emporia State 6-4, 1-6, 9-11.

Gen Naraya fell in the round of 64 to Aaron Osmond of Nebraska-Kearney by a 6-3, 6-3 score.

In doubles play, the duo of Ncube and
Juan Gonzalez opened the double A draw with a round of 32 win over Emporia State's Dominik Simunovic and Harrison Brown by an 8-5 score and added a round of 16 win to the ledger with an 8-1 victory over third-seeded Filippo Piranomonte and Andrea Zamurri of Northwest Missouri State. The duo would see its run end in the quarterfinal through with a 9-7 loss to the seeded pair of Cas de Ruiter and Teodor Zlatar from Harding.

In the bottom half of that bracket, Naraya and Madzar would team up to win their round of 32 match over UNK's Andy Brisdon and Maksym Kulish by an 8-4 count. However, their run would end a round later with an 8-4 loss to number two seeded Tim Hammes and Santiago Rendon from Washburn.
